JR COUNSELLORS
The purpose of support staff (JR Counsellor) is to support the counselors in their work with the campers. They do this by fulfilling and completing different positions that fall within programming, cabin support staff, and medical necessities. They must equally exemplify and fulfill the mission of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and are held to the same expectations of program counsellors. All campers are placed under the care of all staff members regardless of their counsellor or support staff status.
This is an opportunity for those that have recently completed their time at camp as a camper and would like to gain some experience to one day assume the role of senior programming staff. They will not be required to develop programming and lead it as other staff, but rather act in a supportive role while learning the qualities of being strong programming staff.
Responsible to: Summer Camp Director; mentored by programming counsellors
Qualifications:
16 years of age
Enjoyment for working with children and the outdoors
Attended camp as a camper - desired
Ability to speak or understand Ukrainian is an asset

$150/week
Room and Board
All summer staff members are ultimately accountable to the Camp BAR-V-NOK Board of Directors. The director is responsible for all on-site camp staff.
