OFFICIAL STATEMENT - We are very excited as always about the upcoming summer camp season. As you know, the health and safety of campers and staff is of the utmost importance to the leadership of CAMP BAR-V-NOK. With COVID-19 (Coronavirus) on everyone’s mind, we wanted to let you know that we are doing our best to stay informed and all decisions regarding CAMP 2020 will be based on the recommendation of Alberta Health Services and the Chief Medical Officer of Alberta, Dr. Deena Hinshaw. Based on the information currently being provided, we are remaining optimistic, that we might be able to continue with preparations for the summer and are not announcing a formal cancellation of CAMP 2020 at this point. It is understandable to be concerned and have questions as this is a rapidly evolving situation. We will continue to update you as important new information comes to our attention in the coming weeks and months.

At our executive board meeting on Monday April 6th, a motion was made and approved that if any family wishes to withdraw their current registration due to concerns over COVID 19 or financial impacts as a result of the pandemic, that a full refund would be given which would include your $100 deposit. Those families that advise us to keep their deposit and/or any registration fees collected, will remain on the camp registration list until a unilateral decision is made by the Chief Medical Officer of Alberta to indefinitely close summer camps for 2020. It should also be noted that until further notice, we are not requiring families to submit outstanding registration fees until we have a clear understanding of the status of camp 2020.
